Skyrim Daggers Project & Skyrim Dagger Templates
I’m perfectly willing to accept that I have a predilection to sci-fi gun props. The downside of this vice however is that my prop collection can look a bit like a shady armoury from a cyber-punk b-movie. So when I made the Orcish dagger a few weeks ago it became obvious that I would have to make some more fantasy weapons to balance out the collection. The answer of course is to make all the daggers from Skyrim. And, never having met a collection of pointy weapons I didn’t like, this seemed like the obvious course of action! The first step in a project like this was to start working on the Skyrim dagger templates.

At this stage I have only completed the 4 templates displayed here. But, over the coming weeks I will be working on the remaining drawings to complete the full set of Skyrim daggers.
While the project is reasonably expansive, I expect to have all 9 basic dagger types from the game completed by the end of summer. Hopefully this will go some way to redressing the balance between the Sci-Fi and fantasy props in my collection. The most appealing part of this project is the ability to try out a range of different materials and techniques across the respective builds. I’ve always been best at learning through experimentation, so the opportunity to vary my approach across 9 builds should prove to be a useful experience.
I hope the Skyrim Dagger templates are of use to some of you guys. If you decide to build your own daggers from The Elder Scrolls universe, send me photos! Until next time folks, stay safe. And remember, point the sharp bit towards your enemies for maximum effectiveness.

I’ve been making things since I was old enough to pronounce Lego. Consequently my maker life has been spent constructing, kit-bashing and scratch-building anything and everything that has taken my fancy. After dedicating my time to Wargaming, Model Armour & Railways, I stumbled across what has now become an obsession – Prop building.
